ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Lazer Logistics, a leading innovator in sustainable logistics solutions, is proud to announce a significant milestone in its green journey. The company has expanded its Class 8 electric vehicle (EV) spotting fleet to Jacksonville, Florida, marking the first of its kind in the state for Lazer.
With this expansion, Lazer Logistics extends its electric vehicle reach from coast to coast, connecting Florida to California with an impressive network of sustainable yard management solutions. This move signifies a major stride toward a greener and more eco-conscious future for the logistics industry.
“We know that Florida has many companies with logistics bases in the state,” said Chris Bennett, EV Director for Lazer Logistics. “Jacksonville is obviously one of the largest logistics areas in the state, and it just goes to show that we’re helping contribute to the clean air that Florida is so well known for.
“We’re helping contribute to that by taking a diesel truck out of service. We plan to eliminate approximately 85 metric tons of tailpipe carbon dioxide emissions every year through this deployment. We also expect to remove approximately 2 metric tons of NOx, a contributor to the development of low-level air pollution – smog – and acid rain. We look forward to adding more EVs in the state of Florida and continuing to expand our electric vehicle presence throughout North America,” he said.
Lazer Logistics, known for its commitment to environmental stewardship, boasts a presence in more than 620 yards across the United States and Canada. This strategic expansion of EVs into Jacksonville, Florida, reaffirms Lazer’s dedication to reducing emissions, noise pollution, and environmental impact within the logistics sector.
Introducing Class 8 EV spotter vehicles in Jacksonville will enhance efficiency in yard management and contribute to a cleaner and quieter local community.
Lazer Logistics remains at the forefront of innovation, continuously investing in cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices. The addition of Class 8 EVs in Jacksonville aligns with the company’s broader vision to lead the logistics industry toward a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future.
“We encourage more companies operating in Florida to be forward-thinking in this space. You don’t have to do it alone,” Bennett said. “We manage the entire EV process for you – we own it, we staff it, we operate it, and we maintain it. We also provide the operating data that directly feeds your environmental/sustainability and financial reporting.”
