Our Story
Lazer Logistics started in 1996 when two founders pooled their savings to buy a single spotter truck. After 30 years of relentless precision, we’ve grown into the largest provider of outsourced yard logistics. With 700+ locations in the U.S. and Canada—including 54 of the Fortune 500, we have the reach needed to tirelessly serve our customers.

Lazer Foundation
The Lazer Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, was created to support Lazer family members experiencing financial hardship. Lazer employees can apply for a grant to help ease unexpected financial burdens. We employ the highest stewardship standards to ensure every dollar donated goes to grant applicants.

Lazer Spot established in Macon, Georgia, in August 1996 with one location.

2004-2007
Locations, Locations, Locations

Lazer grows from 41 locations across nine states in 2004 to 95 locations across 20 states in 2007.

Covering half of the U.S.

Lazer grows to more than 190 locations across 27 states, expanding to California, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, and Maryland.First private, institutional money in 2010.

2018-2021
Oh, Canada

Lazer Canada launches in 2018, and in 2019 Lazer acquires seven providers during the next three years to further establish its reach across the U.S. and Canada and moves into headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Lazer Logistics is Born

Lazer Spot rebrands as Lazer Logistics to better represent the full value delivered beyond spotting – including shuttling, drayage, trailer rentals, EVs, YMS, gate operations and more.

Lazer acquired by EQT

Lazer acquired by EQT Partners and Lazer Management in 2023. Lazer acquires Spotlight a proprietary YMS in 2023 and Boone Logistics in 2024. Lazer launches Employee Ownership Program.
