Lazer Logistics is excited to participate in the upcoming Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, taking place in Anaheim, California, from April 28 to May 1. This premier event brings together leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and commercial transportation technology providers to showcase innovative solutions for a cleaner, more sustainable future.
At Lazer Logistics, sustainability is at the core of our operations. We are dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of our business through various initiatives, including:
Electric Vehicle (EV) Integration: We have swiftly expanded our battery-electric yard spotter fleet, reaching over 2 million zero-emission miles. This milestone highlights our commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing air quality in the communities we serve.
Idle Time Reduction Programs: Our diesel fleet’s idle time reduction initiative has saved over 109 million pounds of CO2 emissions since 2017, equivalent to more than 126 million miles driven by gasoline-powered passenger vehicles. By leveraging fleet-wide telematics data and modifying driver behavior, we’ve significantly decreased idle times to 16%, leading to substantial fuel savings and emission reductions.
EPA SmartWay Partnership: As a certified SmartWay partner of the EPA, we prioritize reducing idle time of diesel engines, which enhances air quality and minimizes greenhouse gas emissions.
Our participation in the ACT Expo supports our mission to guide the logistics industry toward a sustainable future. Lazer Logistics’ CEO Adam Newsome and EV Director Chris Bennett will share insights on our sustainability initiatives during the upcoming panel discussions:
